Ron Smigiera started with Marathon in June of 1991. A lot of things in the world has changed since then but not Ron providing his services for Marathon. On Tuesday, June 6th 2023 we celebrated Rons Retirement at The Original Warehouse restaurant in Orchard Park. Ron was presented gifts from the staff and a retirement check from President, Tod Cislo. Rons last day of work was June 23rd 2023. Ron, a man of very few words told the group at the retirement party, “I'm really going to miss you guys”.
Statement from President, Tod Cislo:
"It is with great gratitude that we bid farewell to our longest tenured employee of 32 years, Ron Smigiera. We wish him all the best as he enters the next stage of his life where he and his wife Corinne will be enjoying the well-deserved time together and will be able to spend more time with their son Jason and his wife and grandchild. To add to the excitement of the moment he has also informed us of the announcement of his second grandchild. Congratulations and best of luck from all your work family at the Marathon Companies. Cheers!"
Just want to thank you for your generous support and coming out to hit that golf ball. Without people like Marathon this tournament and the money raised could not be possible. Thank you for coming all the way from Buffalo. Hopefully this will be a tradition for you.
